Who they suit and how they work

Aligners suit mild to moderate crowding, spacing and some bite problems in adults with healthy gums. Complex bites may need an orthodontist, and we refer you if so. You wear each set about 22 hours a day, with check-ups every six to eight weeks.
After treatment

Straightening first can mean fewer veneers, or none. Teeth tend to drift back. You wear a retainer as your dentist directs, often every night, for as long as you want to keep the result.
Questions about clear aligners
How long does aligner treatment take?
It depends on how far the teeth need to move. Many adult cases take several months to a year or more. You get an estimate for your case at the consultation.
Can I take the trays out to eat?
Yes. Take them out to eat and drink anything but water, then brush before you put them back.
